submissions may be made by using the hyperlink in the "Official Rules and Entry Procedures" at the bottom of this page or through the U. S. Mail. A self-addressed, stamped envelope is required for all U. S. Mail entries.
Entrants must be high school students at the time of entry. Only one entry per poet per 90 day period will be accepted. Poems must be 20 lines or less to qualify, not counting the title and any spaces between stanzas. Any subject matter will be reviewed. Our address is at the top right-hand corner of this page.
All subscribers will be permitted to vote on-line for the “Best of Issue Award”. This will be a $500 scholarship prize per issue and will be awarded solely by the total number of e-mail votes received within the timeframe specified.
Selections for all of our publications will be made from the same entry pool. There are three possible results.
The top selections will be offered the opportunity to be published in
The Runner-Up selections will be offered an opportunity to be published in one of our Topical Anthologies.
Everyone else will have their entry returned with regrets and will be offered an opportunity to self-critique.

ALL U.S. MAIL ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED, STAMPED LETTER SIZED ENVELOPE**. Winners will be notified by mail.
All items with insufficient postage will be returned to the sender, so please be sure to use current first class postage rates.
The deadlines stated are the "postmarked by dates". If you take your entry to the post office before the close of business on or before the deadline date, it should be postmarked on that day. Ask the Postal Clerk if you have any question as to what the postmarked date would be.
Because we go by the POSTMARKED DATE; EXPRESS MAIL, CERTIFIED MAIL, NEXT DAY DELIVERY, ETC is simply not necessary. Some people have wasted as much as $13 to $15 to make sure their entry arrives the next day.
Scholarship prizes will be held until college registration can be verified. Scholarships not claimed within six months following high school graduation will be considered to be forfeited and revert to the organization.
